Q: Heathcare for trans folks, tell us more!

A: Transgender and gender non-conforming folks are often not able to access affirming care due to discrimination stemming from little to no education on trans and non-binary identities within the healthcare system. Educated staff make the difference. Organizations that serve AND hire Trans/GNC folks, while prioritizing a transparent and inclusive work culture, are the orgs providing the best care to Trans/GNC folks. They are few and often community clinics. Since my They/Them Project video, I began a new job as Case Management Supervisor at Face2Face Clinic in St Paul; an org serving homeless and at risk youth through medical, mental health and drop-in services.
